MISSION

Help boys cultivate a strong moral core is the essence of what aim to achieve in Troop 418.  Whether our scouts are engaged in outdoor activities, merit badge classes, or outreach programs, we’re committed not only to preparing them for situations they’ll encounter later in life, but providing them with the leadership skills they’ll need to serve others.  Our goal is to give each boy the best opportunity to become an Eagle Scout.

HISTORY

A member of the Capital District and the oldest active troop in the Heart of Virginia Council, Troop 418 has been in existence for over 100 years.  During that time, the troop has worked to develop in its scouts an allegiance to God and country and a commitment to serving others.  Along the way, these boys have learned practical life skills that ensure their survival in any environment—on a trail, in the classroom or, as adults, in the workplace.
